I work as a General Manager in auto parts retail; are District Managers allowed to say whatever they want?

He has been saying to me and most other employees, "Well if you don't get better sales than you might as well shoot yourself in the face",,"Get you head out of your *** and answer my question then put it back in",,this is just an example. My boss, the DM, was fired after many years with the competition for this same sort of behavior. Any suggestions?
